Prologue

Ruby is sleeping in her bedroom after a long day at school and at the research lab. The new classes are demanding and she wants to do her best to graduate at the top of her class, along with Cody.

The night is warm. The gentle breeze drifts into the window, tossing the drapes in a slow sensual dance. The room is dark, with only the moonlight casting a soft glow.

The beautiful wolf jumps over the window frame and into the room. His beautiful glowing green eyes watch her sleep. His hair is beautiful, in varied shades of blond. Very slowly, he creeps up to her. Hell, I need to smell her delicious scent.

He watches her inhale and exhale, watching her breasts rise and fall, in a rhythmic pace. He moves a little closer, sniffing her hand on the edge of the bed. He softly licks her hand.

Ruby shifts. She turns onto her side, moving her hand. She opens her beautiful soft brown eyes wide. Omg, it’s the same wolf that comes to my room every night. She stares at him trying not to yell. He was licking my hand.

She remains still, gazing into the wolf’s beautiful green eyes. Oh wow, his eyes look exactly like Cody’s eyes. I swear, I’m gazing into Cody’s eyes.

The wolf moves slowly. He leans his head closer to her hand. He licks her hand very slowly, watching her.

Ruby remains still, terrified that the wolf will bite her. Oh wow, he’s not vicious. He only wants to lick me. She moves her hand slowly to rub his right ear. She watches the wolf close his eyes.

Oh wow, she’s sweet. I can’t keep away from her. He watches her close her eyes. Cody shifts into his body, sliding in next to her.

Ruby opens her eyes, startled. “Where did you come from?”

“Angel.” He whispers next to ear. He leans in to kiss her deeply and pulls her into his hungry arms.

The research lab is busy with activity and the evening is creeping up. One by one, the student scientists walk out. The sound of the door closing indicates that the last student scientist has left for the day.

Cody types quickly on his PC. “I’m done Ruby, are you? I’m going home a little early tonight.”

Hell, I can’t turn to look at her because I want and need her so badly. I’m going crazy smelling her delicious scent. Hell, I have to get away from her because I’m out of control. I have to take my run.

Ruby nods and looks over at Cody, smiling. Geeze, it’s embarrassing talking to Cody. If he knew about my dreams, omg. I would die from embarrassment. I know that he will never date me. We’ve been friends forever.

“Yeah, that sounds good because I’m so tired. I couldn’t sleep last night.” She blushes, turns away from him. Omg, omg, I’m so stupid.

Cody turns to look at her raising an eyebrow. He gets up from his lab chair, ready to leave. “Why not?”

Hell, she’s blushing. I wonder why. He walks over to her, clenching his jaw. Shit, I have to leave now.

He stands next to her to look at her work. “Well.” He turns to see her blush deeper.

Ruby pushes the shutdown button. She moves her seat back, and stands. She pushes her hair away from her flush face. “I dreamed about that wolf again, I couldn’t sleep, and I couldn't go back to sleep.”

“You’ve been dreaming of that wolf since high school. It’s been a few years since we graduated. I thought your dreams stopped because you never mention the wolf again after we graduated.” He clenches his jaw to control his feelings. Damn it, my wolf has been visiting her at night all these years.

“Yeah, well, it’s too embarrassing. You acted like I was crazy when I told you.” She bites her lower lip. Hell, if he knew that I also dream of him coming to make love to me.

Cody shakes his head and closes his eyes. “I never thought you were crazy Ruby.” Cody shoves his hands into his lab coat to control his need to pull her into his arms. “Well, it’s only a dream, so don’t worry about it because the wolf can’t get you. Um. I need to leave.”

Ruby nods. She grabs her purse. “I’m ready.”

I Love Fall

My favorite thing about fall are the beautiful autumn colors. I love to watch the trees change color and the leaves fall onto the ground. I love to see the wind blow the leaves around.

I love drinking my cup of coffee wrapped up in my throw blanket writing my stories. I love to have the fireplace burning and watching the flame dance.

I love to watch my grandchildren excited about Halloween and their costume. Their smiling faces when carving the pumpkin is priceless.

I love that it's the holidays filled with lots of love and family gatherings.

Small crumb

Nick stands in front of her, desperately running his right hand through his hair. He watches her pack. I've lost her. No, damn it. I can’t lose her.

“Daniella, put your clothes back. I wouldn't allow you to leave me.” Nick growls. “You’re my esposa (wife).”

Danni hears him, turns to look at him, and smiles a perfectly evil little smile. Well, isn't this fine and dandy for him to remember this now?

“I forgot that I was your esposa (wife). No, you threw me away a long time ago.”

Danni continues to pack. “It’s extremely convenient for you to remember that I’m your esposa (wife) now, huh? I’ve lived without my esposo (husband) for eighteen months. Tell me, Nicolas, were you faithful? Did you think of me? Did you think of our bebe (baby)? Did you care that I was suffering with your actions, your words, and your thoughts?” Danni angrily demands.

“Daniella, please don’t go there. You know, I truly believed Angel Nicolas was not my bebe (baby). I’m so sorry, and I didn’t sleep around.” Nick hurts and is full of regret. Damn it. I wish I can go back in time. I've hurt my Danni so much. Will she ever forgive me?

“Nicolas, I want to know if you were completely faithful. I have every right to know. Do you think that I didn’t wonder what you were doing? Who you were with?” Danni gazes into his eyes.

Yeah, just like I thought, and he wants me to forgive him. Nick wants me to just pick up where we left off, go on with our life after all of this time? After all that he’s done? Oh dios mio (my god), this is too painful. She falls onto her knees, burying her face in her hands. Danni sobs painful, deep, excruciating sobs. Yes, my Nick has betrayed me.

Damn it to hell! What can I say? What can I do? No, I was not faithful. Hell, yes she’s my esposa (wife), and I have failed her in every way possible. How can she ever forgive me? I've totally fucked up. I thought I was the only one suffering. Damn it, I really did hurt my amor (love).

I’m anxiously waiting for Sean Knight, drinking a mocha in the Sunset café, watching the San Diego waves softly caress the sand. The sun is starting to set, illuminating the sky in a beautiful display of color.

Sean is one of 10 men nominated this year for the hottest, sexiest bachelor in the Southern California area. I’m going to interview him for the Southern California Gazette. He will be spotlighted as one of the 10 Most Sinfully Sexy Southern California Men for the Southern California. I know that a lot of ladies find him incredible.

Finally he’s here. Ladies, let me tell you, he’s incredible. Very, very delicious. He’s beautiful, tall, and sexy. He’s wearing jeans with a black, button up shirt. You can clearly see that his works out because he’s completely toned. His hair is light brown with golden high lights, and is collar length. He has beautiful blue eyes that sparkle with gold specks. Omg, when he smiles, he’s breathtaking.

“Hello, Mr. Knight. It’s a pleasure to meet you.” I extend my hand out to him. “Would you care for something to drink?”

Sean smiles, nodding as he takes my hand in a firm grip. “Hi, Ms. Macias. It's nice meeting you as well. I would love some water, thank you. You can call me Sean. I’m totally shocked and excited by this nomination.” He pulls out the chair and slides onto it. A lock of hair falls over his forehead. He moves his hand to push it back into place.

I smile, nodding. Oh yeah, he’s a total hunk. “Sean, my staff works hard to locate outstanding bachelors in Southern California. We then run a contest to see who’s selected to be the top 10 bachelors. I’m glad that you managed to find time in your busy schedule to speak with me. I understand your time constraints.”

Sean nods, shifting in his chair. He places one hand on the table and gazes out into the ocean. He turns back, smiling. “Yes, it’s a busy time in my life. I’m on leave for the first time in several years. I’m going to take full advantage of my time.”

“Sean, I’ve learned from several sources that you entered into the elite Navy SEALs right out of high school. You actually went right into the SEAL Challenge Contract. That’s an amazing accomplishment. Would you tell me a little about your challenges? Sean, can you tell us what drives you?”

Sean smiles and leans back into his chair. He places a huge hand on top of the table. “Ma'am, I started training to be a SEAL when I was still in middle school. I have dreamed of becoming a Navy SEAL since the moment I learned about them. I dreamed of being one of the guys on the SEAL team that rescued the victims from the evil in the world. My dad, a military commander, created an exercise routine for me to follow. I faithfully followed this routine so I could reach the proper performance level for the Physical Screening Test (PST). I worked hard to reach the standards for a SEAL PST candidate.” He reaches over to take a drink of water. He places the glass on the table. “What drives me? Well, I would say that dream of being a SEAL. The thrills and challenges that I encounter and overcome are an incredible high. I strive to excel and overcome all obstacles.” He grins at me and his beautiful eyes sparkle in the light.

I smile at him. I lean forward, and place my right cheek on the palm of my right hand. Geeze, he’s really something. “What’s Sean’s favorite guilty pleasure?" I ask slyly.

Sean grins, raises his right hand and runs his hand through his silky shimmering hair. He closes his eyes half way. He coughs, then laughs. “Oh wow, that would be my Sofia.”

I watch his eyes soften and sparkle with the thought of his Sofia. Yeah, he’s in love. “Sean, what’s your weakness?”

Sean closes his eyes and rubs his hand on his neck. He opens his beautiful green eyes and looks at me. “Sofia.” He stretches out his long legs and crosses his arms. He smiles a little secret smile.

I notice his casual, relaxed look but I know that he can sprint in a matter of seconds. I can see and feel his raw controlled energy. “Sean what is your fondest memory?”

“Ms. Macias, my fondest memory is of when I met Sofia for the first time. She’s the sweetest girl I know, and she’s my biggest treasure. She’s the only woman that rocks my world.”

“Sean, can you share three of your deepest, darkest secrets?” I watch him shift in his seat. He smiles a sexy little smile.

“Ms. Macias, my three deepest, darkest secrets involve Sofia. Sofia is my woman, she’s my world, and I’m going to marry her.” He crosses his arms and squints out into the ocean. I observe his confidence and the love exuding from his expressive face.

“A biography has been written about you. What do you think the title would be in seven words or less?”

“Sean Spent Every Second Thinking About Sofia.” I smile at his response. Yeah, he’s deeply in love with Sofia. There’s no doubt about that.

"Sean, I’m going to ask you to finish these sentences.”

"The next time I will _________."

“The next time I will return sooner to my Sofia.”

"Why do I _________?"

“Why do I always have to hide my love?”

"Sean, what is your favorite sexy food?" I lean back in my chair grinning. Yeah, I can’t wait to hear this.

Sean laughs and shakes his head. “I love to eat honey and whipped cream.” He grins.

I nod at him and laugh. “Sean, it’s been a pleasure learning all about you. I thank you for your time and I wish you the best.”

Sean walks down to the last apartment in the corner. He knocks on the door, listening for any noise inside or outside.

Oh, wow! Someone is knocking and I have to finish getting ready to go to work. Shit! I wish Carol was here. Where did she go?

Sofia pulls on the sundress that’s across her chair. She slips her feet into her slippers and walks out of her room. She looks through the peephole and sees a black shirt, wide shoulders, and she looks up his neck to his face. Hell, I know that’s Sean. The shades don’t disguise his jawline. It’s him! Her jaw drops open, surprised. Wow, omg. He’s here. It’s Sean. What does he want now after all of this time? She pulls back, and leans on the door, chewing her lower lip.

I know I heard some steps. It has to be my Sofia. Sean leans forward and knocks again on the door, looking at the peephole. He slowly smiles at her.

Sofia looks into the peephole again and sees him smiling. Hell, he knows I’m home. She bites her lower lip.

Sofia opens the door and looks at him. She crosses her arms and waits for him to talk.

Sean grins at her and looks her over. Oh yeah, my Sofia looks the same, if not better. “Baby Girl, I’m home.”

Sofia glares at him and turns away. She walks into the living room. She stops at the sofa, and rests her hands on her hips. “Really, you're home? That means what?” She raises her eyebrow at him. She clenches her hands on her hips to control her rampant emotions of joy, anger, and hurt.

Chapter 1 

"Excuse me Ma'am, I don't mean to interrupt your bitch session; however, you do realize your hair is on fire?"

Joe’s been dead for two years, and he still makes me laugh.  He was so relaxed in front of an audience.  Unlike me, who would panic at the thought of giving a five-minute PowerPoint presentation, Joe loved entertaining his fans for not only was he a renowned author and accomplished writer but a prolific storyteller as well.  The video was from a charity event he attended in Princeton, New Jersey.  Some affluent donors weren’t very happy about the lack of seating.  Joe was famous for drawing large crowds. He noticed a well-dressed, older woman sitting by the exit door complaining about the seating arrangement.  Joe, being the gentleman that he was, excused himself and headed toward the back of the room.  She was so engrossed in her own bitching that she failed to notice that he was standing directly behind her.  Inadvertently, she leaned into the table’s candle centerpiece and set the front of her hair on fire.  Without blinking an eye, Joe gallantly grabbed a glass of water from a nearby table and doused the flames.  Needless to say she was humiliated, but ever so thankful for his quick action.  

Joe flashed his infamous shit-eating grin and said, “You’re welcome, Darlin’. Now, how about you come up front and sit with me. And by the way, that’ll cost you another thousand dollar donation for my heroic firefighting service.”

The audience gave him a roaring round of applause.  He informed the guests that his tip jar was in the back and that it was pathetically empty – nothing her thousand dollar donation couldn’t fix.  Joe knew how to work a crowd and please his fans.  He was good at what he did, and he knew it.

I turned my computer off and continued to tidy his office.  Funny, I still called it his office.  Has it really been two years since his death – seems like yesterday.  I thought if I left the room the way it was, it would in some way comfort me.  Regrettably, it did just the opposite. It irritated me beyond belief.  I’m a neat-freak, and he was an incurable pack rat.  Receipts from gas stations, fast food restaurants, numerous coffee shops and illegible crib notes on discarded manuscripts littered his desk.

There was still the matter of scattering his ashes.  I couldn’t bring myself to do it, but I knew it was time to honor my husband’s last wish which was to scatter his remains at the place where he proposed.  In my mind, I knew I needed to let go and move on, but in my heart his untimely death still hurt like hell.  I’ve heard people use the term heartbroken or heartache.  I’d never experienced either – until Joe died.  It was an endless, helpless, hopeless pain.   I needed to let go.  I needed to move on.  No matter how painful the task, Joe’s ashes had to be spread. 

When the time was right, Raymond said he would accompany me to the spot Joe designated. He was very patient and understanding when it came to my grieving.  

“Joe was a procrastinator in life so why would he change in death—always needing to be in control,” Raymond would joke. “He still annoys me from the grave—arrogant son of a mangy coyote!”

I knew it was Raymond’s way of expressing his grief and how he too missed Joe.  To be honest, in some strange way, it made me feel better.   I missed being referee to their incessant bickering.  They had a lot in common.  Their inimitable friendship was cherished more than they were willing to admit.

Charlotte was now in her terrible-twos and quite skilled at navigating herself around the house. She was becoming quite a beautiful little girl.  I know all parents think that their children are beautiful and talented, but Charlotte was truly a beautiful child. I called her our little golden girl because of her glowing olive complexion and curly, sandy brown locks.   She had my focus and temper and Lash’s (Joe as his fans knew him) curiosity and smile. 

She toddled into the office and climbed onto his rawhide leather chair.  I remembered him gloating when he finished assembling it.  He wasn’t patient when it came to following directions or handling tools.  He called it his one-and-only successful IKEA achievement.  I didn’t have the heart to tell him that if I’d given Charlotte an Allen wrench she could have put it together. 

Lord, I miss him. I miss those final edit nights when I’d come in with coffee and sit in his lap.  It saddened me to think I’d never see him sitting at that desk again.  I picked up Charlotte and gave her a big hug.

I turned away to keep her from seeing my tears.  She placed her small hands on my cheeks.

“Happy . . . h-a-p-p-y Mama,” she whispered.

Her attempt to console me brought a smile to my face.  I kissed her tiny palms. 

“This one’s from me and this one’s from Daddy.”

Charlotte instinctively knew when I needed her happy reminder.  She was wise beyond her years.  Raymond called her “Nadie”. Blackfoot and loosely translated, it meant the wisdom of an old soul. 

Keough cracked the office door and peeked inside. 

“You gals okay?  Both of ya’ need to get some rest.  It’s long past your bedtimes.” 

Charlotte climbed off my lap and ran over to Keough and latched onto his leg.  He picked her up and swung her onto his shoulders. 

“It’s time for this little cowgirl to hit the hay. Come on let’s get you into your bunk.  Lou and I will tell you a story about the time I tried to lasso and ride an ornery wild mustang. Would you like that?” 

She bounced up and down on his shoulders squealing, “Pap-Pap, horsey!”

“Don’t worry, Rose.  It’s a very short story.  It took me three seconds to lose that man-versus-beast battle.” 

I chuckled at Keough’s honesty and said goodnight.

“Okay, Baby Girl –a quick story then bedtime.  That goes for you too Mama.”  He paused for a moment and whispered, “And don’t think I haven't notice you sneaking into this office in the middle of the night.  It ain’t healthy for you to deprive yourself of sleep.  And it ain’t good for this baby to see you so dang sad all the time.  Now, don’t make me tie you up and drag your ass to bed.”  

“I promise I’ll go to bed.  Just a few more minutes, okay?  Thank you Keough.”

 “You’re welcome, Darlin’ and goodnight.”    

I was leaving the office when I noticed something on the side of the door jam.  Funny, I’d never noticed it before.  There were two perfectly shaped hearts carved into the trim with the initials MJ loves R.  I rubbed my finger over them.  When did he do this?   What other little treasures has he left behind for me to discover.  I went back to his desk, picked up some paper and a pencil and rubbed it over the carving and then tucked it into my shirt pocket. We miss you too, Joe.

Biography

Originally from Pennsylvania, Deb and her husband Pete moved to Western North Carolina and live on a small farm in the Blue Ridge Mountains

She enjoys the simplicity of their country lifestyle and takes pleasure in the daily antics of their horse Colonel, half dozen rowdy barn cats and a large but friendly black snake they’ve affectionately named, Licorice.

Roberto and Nathan walk into the club after having dinner down the street. They look hot and swagger into the club with a confident stride. They’re a pair of hot, sexy, bad boys walking into the club to have some fun. 

“Oh, yeah,” says Nathan, looking around. Yes, this is hot. I always wanted to check out a Latino club. Oh yeah, he thinks.

“Let’s get some tequila shots!” says Roberto. He strolls to the bar. He reaches it and turns to look at Nathan. 

Nathan is following Roberto, turning to look at the band. “Wow, sorry,” says Nathan, to the cute Latina that he just bumped into. 

His voice is low and sexy. He gazes into the cute chica’s amazing huge brown eyes. He quickly grasps her waist with his hands to prevent her from falling. He unconsciously pulls her a little closer. 

Andréa runs into Ghost, she quickly grasps his arms to stop her fall. She stares up into Ghost’s beautiful, pale blue eyes. Her eyes open wide with surprise and amazement. Oh, dios mio (oh my god), this is one huge white boy, she thinks. She holds onto his huge muscled arms.

“Please, excuse me! I wasn’t looking,” says Ghost. Damn! I’m scaring this beautiful girl, he thinks. I better let her go. 

Andréa breaks into a huge warm smile. She gazes up at him, not releasing her hold. “Hi, I’m ok. No worries,” replies Andréa.

Ghost gazes into her beautiful eyes and starts to smile. Wow, she’s not scared, he thinks. She’s really beautiful.  

Oh wow, he’s so guapo (handsome), huge, and has awesome dimples. I think I like everything about this white boy, thinks Andréa. Oh yeah, I especially love his southern drawl.

She tilts her head slightly, to inspect his side view. Oh, yes, he’s totally what I like. I love his beautiful pale blue eyes, thinks Andréa.

She steps a little closer to slide her hands up to his shoulders. “I would love to dance,” says Andréa. She gazes into his beautiful blue eyes, reaching his soul.

Ghost gazes into her eyes. I can see her beautiful soul. Yes, I can feel her soul connect to mine. Oh damn, hell yes. I’m dancing this slow dance with this girl, he thinks. “Ah, you would like to dance?” asks Nathan. He leans down a little to whisper in her ear. He feels her tremble. 

“Yes,” replies Andréa. She gazes into his beautiful face. 

Ghost releases her and takes one of her hands. He leads the way to the dance floor. Oh, damn yes, I love this slow song, he thinks. 

He pulls her into his arms. He encircles her waist, pulling her close to him. He inhales her incredible scent. Oh, she smells amazing, he thinks. 

Andréa puts her hands on his strong wide shoulders. She gazes up into his eyes. She smiles, slowly moving her arms up his shoulders. “I’m Andréa Martinez,” says Andréa. 

“It’s nice to meet you, Andréa. I’m Nathan Jackson,” he replies, softly near her ear. Oh yeah, she’s sweet, sexy, and hot, he thinks.

Damn it! Now what? I know that he likes her. I think that I’m on my own now, thinks Roberto. 

He sucks the lemon and salt. He then throws back his head, drinking the tequila shot.

 The song ends and Nathan continues to hold Andréa close. He gazes into her beautiful warm brown eyes.

“Nathan, I love dancing with you,” she says. “Can we dance the next song?”

Nathan slowly leans down. He whispers in her ear. “Andréa, darlin, we can dance all you want. We can dance all night if you care to,” he whispers, gazing into her eyes. He slowly smiles, flashing his beautiful dimples. 

Andréa hears him and shudders with incredible feelings. I’ve never felt such attraction and passion. I love how the goatee looks on him. And he’s wearing a scarf tied up like a pirate. He looks incredibly hot and sexy.

She pulls back and gazes into his incredible pale blue eyes. Nathan’s eyes are beautiful. They’re crystal clear pale blue. I can see and feel his soul. Oh wow, he’s mine. I can feel his soul, he’s my soul mate, she thinks. I love his dimples, they’re absolutely beautiful, and he’s absolutely a hunk. 
“Tell me your full name. Is it Nathaniel? I love the name Nathaniel,” ask Andréa, smiling.

Nathan laughs softly and his pale blue eyes sparkle with joy. Hell, yeah, she’s totally a darlin. She pushes my buttons and makes me high. I’m so ready for her, he thinks.

He leans in, near her ear, so she can hear him. “Darlin girl, my full name is Nathaniel Brandon Jackson,” whispers Ghost. He chuckles and pulls her closer.

“Baby, what’s wrong?” asks Claudia, passing Veronica and Christopher.

“Hermana (sister), he saw Christopher and me kissing. I think that he thought I was you,” says Veronica, walking behind Claudia.

“Hey, amigo, wait up!” says Christopher, sprinting after Roberto. “You have it all wrong.”

Roberto hears Claudia and the other voices. Hmm, that’s three voices and not two. One is Claudia, he thinks. He turns around, furious and curious.
“Baby,” yells Claudia, running to Roberto. “Please, listen to me.”

Roberto stands stupefied. Oh, dios mio! What a fucking fool I am. I forgot about her twin. I saw her in his arms and thought it was my Baby. The rage and frustration that I felt ten years ago, came rushing back. It was worse this time, because Claudia is my mujer, ponders Roberto. He’s in a daze.

Roberto stares at Veronica, feeling Claudia run into his arms. Damn, she’s identical to my Claudia, but she’s different. He gazes down into Claudia’s beautiful eyes.

“Baby, te amo!” says Claudia. She gazes into his confused, pained beautiful brown eyes. “That’s my hermana, Veronica.”

Roberto closes his eyes tight. Wow, damn it! I made a huge mistake. I almost walked away from my amor, my alma gemela, and my world.

He opens his eyes and gazes into Claudia’s beautiful face. He pulls her close, burying his face into her neck. Yes, this is my Claudia. I feel her, she’s mia, only mia, he thinks.

Explosive passion, hot romance and unconditional love combined with just the right touch of suspense and action all make for a great page turner and unforgettable read. Alex looks at the casa. I can see a soft light towards the back. It’s real quite. Hmmm, I wonder what’s going on. I hear some footsteps. Oh, yeah, it’s Carolina.

She looks out the window. Si, she’s in casa. Damn, what a relief seeing that she’s okay. Hmm, she’s opening the door.

It’s Alex. What should I do? I don’t want him to see how poor I live. Hmmm, but he did come to see me. I’ll let him see where I live. He knows that I’m not very well off. He already knows every inch of my body, thinks Carolina, blushing. 

Carolina opens the door. “Alex,” she says. She looks at him with swollen eyes from crying. “Do you want to come in?” she asks with embarrassment. I don’t even look good.

“Si,” says Alex. I wonder why she’s crying. Did she regret loving me?
He walks into the casa and pulls her into his arms. “Carolina, what’s wrong,” he asks. He holds her close and tight. Hmmm, she smells so good and I missed her.

“Alex, my abuela was dead when I arrived this morning. She must have died last night,” she says, crying on his shoulder burying her face. He feels so strong and I feel so safe. I need him so much.

“Oh, dios mio, Carolina I’m sorry for your loss,” says Alex. I wonder what I can do for her. “Do you need anything?” he starts to rub her back, wanting to make her feel better.

“No, Alex, my abuela had taken out a reasonable size life insurance to help me with the funeral. I just don’t have anybody,” she says. She cries silently on his shoulder, feeling him hug her tightly.

Reviews

Once again this is a wonderful story of love and facing challenges for the one you love. Alex is a very talented doctor and Carolina is kind and extremely caring. Overall I loved them as a couple, I did get a little frustrated with Alex because it took him a bit to see the big picture. Carolina had such challenges in her life that she deserved to find her true love and soul mate. She was absolutely the kindest person and she loved what family she had without fail. I was really cheering for her to have a HEA. I can't wait to see what the author writes next she is amazing!

Hot & Adorable is another win for P.T. Macias. I'm not sure which is which as both Alex and Carolina re Hot & Adorable. In the previous books in this saga, we never really received much insight into Alex, the DR. Now I know why. It was good to get a bit of distance from the drama of the earlier novels and just basic in this lovely romance. What started as tragedy for Carolina, ended in HEA for everyone. Nicely done, again!
