Divulgence Angels & Demons Book 2 by Tich Brewster

We have the lovely Tich Brewster visiting us. Tich it’s a pleasure to have you here. I would love you to tell us a little about you, what makes Tich tick?
Thank you so much for having me here today. Well, I’m just your average girl, lol. I have been married to my lovely husband for 16 years. We have 5 kids, 4 boys and 1 girl, ranging in age from 16 to 6.

What got you started on the path to becoming an author?
Well, back in my Jr High days my BFF got me interested in writing. It’s because of her short stories that I started carrying around a notebook and jotting down my own shorts. In 2010 a friend of mine approached me about working on a series with her. I was a little nervous at first because I had never shared any of my stories with anyone. In fact no one knew that I loved to write because I was too shy to let them know. But when Teresa asked me to work with her, I couldn’t refuse and jumped right in.

What are you currently working on?  Would you care to share a snippet?
I just finished writing Divulgence, it will release on 7/1. Here is a small snippet:

Hannah had been on the hunt since that weird phone call she had from her father, her very dead father. If by some miracle her father was alive, which was unlikely considering she saw his mutilated body, she would find him and make sure those demons paid for everything they’ve done.

Do you include some of your own personal
experiences in your books or do you prefer to use your imagination?
For the most part I use my imagination though my husband swears that all of my leading men are based on him. My first short story though I did include some of my own experiences.

What genre do you typically write in and why did you choose this over others?
I typically write YA. I do have a Contemporary Romance and have a couple more in the works but my favorite has to be YA. I think I enjoy that genre the most because teens are so easy to write. They aren’t burdened with work, marriage, kids so they are easier for me to create.

Do you have a specific process or a ritual you go through when sitting down to write?

The first thing I do is brew a cup of coffee no matter what time it is, I have to have my Java when I write. Only then can I focus on what’s in front of me. I listen to music while I write, I try to find music with the same theme as my story so I don't get off in left field.

Where do you find your inspiration for your plots?  Do you have any tricks of the trade you would care to share?
I love to walk…even drive around town. I keep a notebook with me wherever I go and I jot down ideas as they come. I love to listen to music, which also helps with ideas.

What is the oddest place/situation where an idea for a book/plot has come to you?
The oddest place, but a common place for me, is in my shower. I usually crank up my music player when I’m in the shower and there is something about being in the streaming water that turns those wheels in my head.

What makes a book stand out and perk your interest?
Color. More times than not I purchase a book based on how well the cover grabs my attention.
We all have our favorite authors.  Can you share some of yours and tell us why you like them?
Some of my favorites are Richelle Mead, Rachel Caine, PC & Kristin Cast, Bella Roccaforte, and Gracen Miller. I’m a lover of all things paranormal and these women can write them.

We all have a pet peeve, care to share yours?

Besides lying, my pet peeve is criticizing others.

When you’re not writing, what are the things you enjoy doing to relax?
Well with my 5 kiddos and their friends I generally have anywhere from 7-15 kids running around my house so some of the things I do to relax would be just hanging out with all the kids.

Thank you so much for joining me here today, Tich.  I know my followers will enjoy this spotlight as much as I have. Good luck on all your future books.
Thank you! I had a blast with you today!
