Nicolas Christmas Gift by P.T. Macias

Nicolas Christmas Gift

The snow is falling softly and covering the world with a pure white coat. The night stars glow and the full moon casts a light that causes the snow to sparkle.

Samantha walks through the snow pulling her scarf tighter around her neck. She looks at all of the homes lit up with Christmas lights. She shivers from loneliness not from the cold.

Oh my lord, I feel so lonely. Josh never returned my calls. I wonder if he’s moved on? I really thought that he could be the one. I think that I was wrong, she thinks.

Several tears fall down her flushed cheeks. She walks on towards her small home. She looks at the cute little home that her Mom left her.

I know I made the right choice. Yes, I had to stay with my Mom. I couldn't leave her when I knew she wasn't going to make it. The doctors couldn't save her.

Josh wanted to me to fly out to stay with him for a while in San Francisco. He was pissed when I told him that I couldn't go. He thought that I didn’t want to. For some reason he didn’t believe my Mom was ill. I know he thought that I was looking for excuses not to leave my Mom, she thinks.
Wow, my home looks lonely and dark. I haven’t had the strength to put up the Christmas lights. I’m glad I lit the fireplace before I went for a walk. I’m going to  make a cup of hot chocolate, thinks Sam.

She walks into the kitchen and sets the kettle on the stove. She leans against the counter, looking at the Christmas tree. Tears fall down her face. She shivers and pulls her sweater tighter and crosses her arms.

The doorbell rings, startling Sam. She looks at the door, frowning. Who in the world could be out on Christmas Eve? she thinks.

She walks towards the door. She looks out through the window. Oh, wow! It’s Nicolas Adams, my best friend!

Sam urgently opens the door and squeals with delight. “Nick!” yells Sam. She runs into his open arms and wraps her arms around his neck. She turns to kiss his cheek.

Nick pulls her close and he turns to kiss her on the lips. He kisses her softly until she opens her mouth.
Oh hell yes, she’s home. I was afraid that I’d lost her. I have to tell her tonight. I can’t live like this, he thinks.

Oh lord, Nick is kissing me. Huh, he tastes wonderful. We never kissed before, she thinks. She responds to his kiss with hunger, holding on tighter.

Nick moans with pleasure, tasting her deeply. He pulls away to kiss her down her jaw to her neck.

“Angel, I've missed you. My family is having Christmas Eve dinner. I want to spend Christmas Eve with you. I love you,” whispers Nick.

Sam pulls back, surprised. Wow! Nick loves me? I thought he wasn't interested in me. I've always loved him.

He gazes into her eyes. I want real hot passionate love from my woman. Oh damn, she loves me, he thinks.

“Nick, I love you!” whispers Sam, blushing.

Nick picks her up in his arms, kissing her deeply, as he steps inside and close the door behind them.

Now for  Bulldog, Razer 8
by P. T. Macias

Bulldog, Razer 8 by P.T. Macias
Bulldog is the youngest of the Razer 8 Delta Force Operatives. He enjoys life. He’s called upon to help out one of his team operative. Infinity is there.
He runs into Katherine Morgan, a sweet young victim. In the the process of extraction he gets caught by the prostitution gang. They mistake him with being her boyfriend.
Bulldog grabs onto that line and poses as her boyfriend. In the process of rescuing Katherine from the mob he becomes entangled in her web. Will Bulldog’s skills and training save him from falling under her spell? Will he be able to outrun the mob and his soul?

Small Nibble -
Bulldog glares at Katherine, frustrated. Damn, this beauty is terrified. She’s trembling and her lovely huge soft hazel eyes are full of tears. Damn it all to hell! I hate seeing women cry, thinks Travis.
He starts to see her, forgetting his frustration and the urgency to escape. He gazes into her eyes.
Katherine gazes into Bulldog’s beautiful green eyes, holding back her scream. He’s soul is pure, I can feel it. I see the honest compassion and admiration. He’s not one of themWow, his soul is so vibrant. I feel his soul converging into mine, into one, ponders Katherine. She blinks back her tears and unconsciously holds tightly onto his hand.
Oh, yeah, this sweet young girl’s soul is incredible. I feel her soul reaching deeply, touching my very core, and firmly embedding into my soul. Wow, she’s so beautiful. I love her sweet red lips and her long golden brown hair. Her hair looks soft and shiny, muses Travis, in a daze.
Infinity extraction complete. Disperse and status,” requests Redfox, into the mic.
Bulldog snaps back to reality. Damn! I need to get her out of out of this hell hole, thinks Bulldog.
“It’s okay Sugar. I’m getting you out of this hell hole,” says Travis, solemnly. “We need to get going. Will you follow me?”
Katherine blinks, registering what he said. “You’re here to rescue me?” she asks. She starts to smile, a bright smile lighting up her entire face. Her beautiful hazel eyes glow. “Okay, I’ll follow you.”
Oh, wow, he’s such a hunk. He looks like a bad boy but he’s notI love his dirty blond hair and green eyes.
“Wonderful, Sugar,” replies Travis. He nods and takes her hand. They walk out of the room, he switches off the light, and they walk up the stairway.
Extracting, says Bulldog into the mic. He takes two steps up the stairs, pulling Katherine along. The stairway area is pitch black.
Katherine can’t see in front of her and is relying on Travis to go up the stairway, holding tightly onto his hand. I wonder who he’s talking to, she ponders.
Bulldog reaches the top of the stairway and attempts to push the door open.Damn it all to hell! They closed the door. I need to see if I can locate a latch, muses Bulldog.
Katherine runs into him and wraps her arms around his waist trying not to fall down the stairs. She’s balanced on the narrow step, holding onto him.
Bulldog is thrown off balance; he quickly wraps his arms around Katherine. They roll down the stairs to the bottom of the basement. The mic breaks off, bounces down the stairs, and rolls into a cranny in the concrete floor.

My name is Patricia T. Macias. I was born in San Jose, California. I currently live in Sacramento, California with my family. I have three children. I also enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. I love to read romance and paranormal.
I've always dreamed of writing and I’m extremely happy to be achieving my dream. I wanted to write since I was in elementary. My characters are my best friends. They’re always talking and living in my mind and dreams. I would tell you that writing is my passion.
I graduated from the University of Phoenix with a dual Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management Administration.
I wrote my first series, the De La Cruz Saga, in one year. The saga has a subtle influence of Spanish and the Spanish becomes more laced (as the story progresses).
I write in the present tense because I believe it puts the reader "IN" the action, rather than as part of an "after thought". I believe it brings the characters to life!
This is my voice, my style. Dare to read the awesome De La Cruz Saga that’s full of passion and suspense. Enjoy my latest and greatest series is Razer 8. The new Razer 8 series is all about action, adventure, passion, and romance.
My latest and greatest goal is to write a Mexican Cook book. I hope you enjoy the recipes.
Patricia

Backward Compatible by Sarah Daltry and Pete Clark

Not too long ago,
in a town that,
depending on your current location,
is either not super far
or actually quite close…

It is a time of chaotic hormones.
Two nerdy gents
home for winter break
have discovered a female gamer
at a midnight release.

During the break,
the gamer trio manages
to reveal the game’s secret boss,
a hidden enemy
with enough power to destroy
anything in its path.

Pursued by other gamers
who want to be the first
to beat this boss,
George and Katie race to level up,
and, in so doing, restore decency
and sexual activity to their personal galaxy…

Excerpt:

“These graphics suck,” George says and I look back at the screen. We’re standing in the middle of the Estate, colorful orbs quivering ahead of us. We each have to choose our starting advantage. Waterfalls shimmer in the distance and the sunlight streams over multicolored stones in the courtyard.
“Amateurs,” Lanyon concurs. “I mean, they couldn’t have five waterfalls?”
“Your ironic wit is mind blowing, but choose your damn orbs,” I tell them. I consider. Magic, defense, offense, stealth, and charisma. I always go for magic as a black mage, but I wonder if a druid needs something else. Screw it. I need charisma in real life, too.
“Charisma?” Lanyon asks. “No one ever picks charisma.”
“We’re a party of a thief, druid, and a bard. We’re screwed regardless.”
“You two underestimate the mighty power of my lute,” George argues.
“Did you start with charisma?” Lanyon asks.
“Hell, no. I have charisma in spades. I started with stealth.”
“Great. A stealthy bard,” I sigh.
“She’s right,” Lanyon concedes. “We’re screwed.”
However, it actually isn’t bad at all at first. We power through the Estate and make it to the Yobanaria Dale with no resurrections and all at level ten. I’m impressed. George hasn’t actually fought anything, but he has some pretty awe-inspiring charm mastery already. I think I might have a serious crush. He seals the deal when he buffs my hailstorm spell without even being asked.
“Can you guys watch El Thiefelo? My mom wants me to eat supper,” Lanyon says.
“Yeah, we’ve got it,” I tell him. “The first boss is in the elven ruins anyway, so we should grind a bit. I think he’s a twelve.”
George and I explore the Dale, taking out bats and Joba spores. It’s fairly quiet, except for when we combo with his charms and my spells and he yells out, “Eat lute, bitch,” but it’s nice. We work well, almost inherently understanding each other. I’ve never been able to play this effectively with anyone. I try not to think about his eyes. Stupid boys, being cute and stuff.
By the time Lanyon comes back, we’re all at level 12, although Lanyon leveled up just by standing by a door while we played. Still, we are ready to take on Balsa the Proud. As a black mage, it took me about nine seconds. Trees don’t like fire. However, druids don’t have the same level of black magic and all elemental magic is weakened by the need to draw from the elements nearby. Sadly, trees seem to avoid storing fire runes in their villages. I expect this to be a little more challenging. It might even take fifteen seconds.
“First boss. Also known as the freebie bitch to sucker the young folks into a false sense of security,” Lanyon announces as he runs into the center of Balsa’s lair. The cinema plays and then, in a moment of pure absurdity, El Thiefelo is squished as Balsa steps on him.
“Can someone revive me?” Lanyon whines.

About the Authors:

Sarah Daltry:

Sarah Daltry writes about the regular people who populate our lives. She's written works in various genres - romance, erotica, fantasy, horror. Genre isn't as important as telling a story about people and how their lives unfold. Sarah tends to focus on YA/NA characters but she's been known to shake it up. Most of her stories are about relationships - romantic, familial, friendly - because love and empathy are the foundation of life. It doesn't matter if the story is set in contemporary NY, historical Britain, or a fantasy world in the future - human beings are most interesting in the ways they interact with others. This is the principle behind all of Sarah's stories.

Sarah has spent most of her life in school, from her BA and MA in English and writing to teaching both at the high school and college level. She also loves studying art history and really anything because learning is fun.

When Sarah isn't writing, she tends to waste a lot of time checking Facebook for pictures of cats, shooting virtual zombies, and simply staring out the window.
She has written several books, most notably Bitter Fruits, an urban fantasy in the Eden’s Fall series, and the Flowering series, including Forget Me Not, Lily of the Valley, and Star of Bethlehem.

Pete Clark:

Pete Clark likes writing, animals, potato chips, and cheese. Midnight Riders is his first published novel, although he can also proudly say he finally finished Helix Crashing, the fantasy novel he has been working on for over a decade. In addition, he has written Across the Barren Landscape, a collection of linked Western short stories. He also writes plays, both dramatic and comedic.
When he is not writing, Pete tends to ignore everyone around him and obsess over sports.
